The Hotel Plein Sud, Chantemerle

The Hotel Plein Sud has 42 bedrooms of which 33 of them are south facing with a balcony.  The hotel has it’s own bar & restaurant which are both top notch.  One of the best features of The Hotel Plein Sud is the amazing heated pool, which is open air in the summer and indoors in the winter, thanks to it’s superb sliding cover.  If you are into your rest and relaxation then there is a hammam steam room available for free use by hotel clients, perfect for those aching muscles after a days skiing.  There is parking & garages available and also a ski & bike room.

The Hotel Plein Sud location

The location is superb, only 250m from the skilifts and the pistes.  The hotel is well situated in the centre of the village of Chantemerle which has shops, bars, restaurants, ski hire, cinéma, night club and more.  Chantemerle is just 10 minutes drive from Briançon, UNESCO World Heritage site.

The Hotel Plein Sud Restaurant

The restaurant is open every evening during the winter season to residents and non-residents of the hotel. “Menu du jour” (todays special menu) 28 euros. The restaurant is also available for special functions.  Please contact the hotel for the organisation of : weddings, seminars, birthdays, christenings, etc.

The Hotel Plein Sud Bedrooms

Most bedrooms are south facing with a private balcony overlooking the famous “Luc Alphand” ski-run.  Every room is equipped with an en-suite bathroom with a hair dryer, mini-bar, satellite TV, direct-dial telephone with self wake up call facilities and a safe.  Dressing gowns and swimming towels are provided for clients use.

The Hotel Plein Sud Bar

In a relaxed and cozy atmosphere the bar is ideal for ‘après ski’ drinks or an after dinner digestive, genepy, etc.  Bar open to residents and non-residents all day from 8am to midnight for a warming hot chocolate or a vin chaud.  A range of bar snacks is available at lunch times.

The covered heated swimming pool can be accessed directly from the hotel and is kept at a temperature of between 25 and 27°..

A steam room is available to hotel clients for relaxation of your muscles after a days skiing.

A children’s playroom with games, television and a DVD player. (The playroom is not supervised)

The conference room is available for meetings in all formats.  The room can be organised in theatre or classroom style as well as for video presentations.  The room is also available as a showroom for product presentations.

The Hotel can organise group skiing lessons or private lessons for both adults & children, skiing at “La Grave”, off-piste skiing in Serre Chevalier, dog sledding, skidooing, snowshoeing and numerous other winter activities.
